The town is 1,300 meters above sea level and the highest lift is above 2,500 meters so snow is reliable. Runs are mainly red or easier so it’s great for beginners as well as the experienced skier. Borovets, set amid pine forests, was established in the 19th century as a hunting lodge for Bulgaria’s kings and sights include a royal palace! By night there are plenty of bars, restaurants, and clubs all charging amazingly low prices.
